Construction is much more than erecting buildings and structures.

It is an activity that transforms cities, improves quality of life and boosts the local economy. From shopping centres to hospitals and sports facilities, construction projects create jobs, modernise infrastructure and revitalise entire communities. At Altamira Constructora, based in Elche, although we carry out work at a national level, we have been an active part of this process, leaving a positive mark on every project we have carried out.

Economic growth and job creation

Economic growth and job creation are among the most visible effects of construction. Each project involves many professionals, from architects and engineers to labourers, electricians and carpenters. In addition, many local businesses benefit by providing materials and services, boosting sectors such as hardware, logistics and catering. A clear example is the Gran Alacant Shopping Centre, a project that has boosted the area's economy with

the arrival of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. Not only have jobs been created within the centre itself, but businesses have also sprung up around it, benefiting local small and medium-sized enterprises.

Improving infrastructure and quality of life

Improving infrastructure and quality of life is another key aspect. Construction projects not only impact the economy but also contribute to the modernisation of

the urban environment. Streets, accesses, sewage networks and green areas are elements that are transformed with each new building. In the case of the Vinalopó Hospital in Elche, its construction has meant a substantial improvement in the city’s healthcare. Before its opening, the inhabitants of Elche and the surrounding area had to travel to other hospitals to receive specialised care. Now, thanks to this infrastructure, a closer and more efficient service is offered, which not only improves medical care, but also reduces waiting times and facilitates the work of health professionals.

The revitalisation of communities

The revitalisation of communities is another major benefit of construction. A disused space can become a meeting point for the community, encouraging interaction and social cohesion. Sports infrastructures, for example, not only promote exercise and healthy living, but also generate a sense of belonging among neighbours. The Elda Sports Centre, built by Altamira, has served to breathe new life into an area that needed recreational spaces. Today, it welcomes hundreds of people every week, from children playing sports to adults attending supervised classes. This has boosted economic activity in the surrounding area and promoted healthy habits among the population.

The commitment to sustainable development

The commitment to sustainable development is key for Altamira Constructora. We understand that the construction of the future must be environmentally responsible. For this reason, in each project we are committed to energy efficiency, the use of sustainable materials and the reduction of environmental impact. In all our works, we seek not only to comply with technical standards, but also to generate a more sustainable environment for future generations. Construction is one of the activities with the greatest impact on society. Each building, each infrastructure and each public work leaves a mark on the community,

contributing to its development and well-being.

At Altamira Constructora, we are proud to be part of this process, carrying out projects that not only transform the urban landscape, but also improve people’s lives. If you want to know more about our works and how we continue to support the growth of our community, we invite you to learn more about our projects and discover how construction can be a tool for change and progress.
